Annual training week for the Ambassadors of A Rocha France
15 August - 21 August
“I am convinced that ecological issues are important to God, and that the Church has an essential mission in these times of crisis. But sometimes I feel a bit alone! I would like to be better equipped to talk about it, and to act with others”.
If these words resonate with you, then the Ambassador Training week is the one for you!
From the August 16th-21st we are offering a week of training to equip you with theological, scientific, and pedagogical tools so that you – and other Christians who are sensitive to ecological issues – are able to pass on and transmit what you have learned. We want to help encourage reflection and action in our churches and communities, putting God and his Word at the heart of our ecological approach. The training week will take place at Les Courmettes.
Building on the 2020 Training Week, this summer’s training will offer one course, with certain elements pitched at two levels – introductory and advanced.
After the last few months, many of us – trapped behind our computer screens – are looking for a week of community and exchange. We want to listen to each other, and we want to listen to God. We want to discern what the Lord is calling us to in our commitment to caring for creation. There will be time given over to work, time spent learning from each other, and plenty of time given to enjoying the beauty of Les Courmettes, to go hiking, and to live in fellowship.
After the last few months spent, for many of us, behind our computer screens, we want to offer you a week based on conviviality and exchange. We want to listen to each other. And we want to listen to God, so that each of us can discern what the Lord is calling us to in our commitment to the care of creation. There will be times for work, times for learning from each other, and also plenty of time to enjoy the beauty of nature at Les Courmettes, to go for walks and to live in fellowship.
This training week is open to all christians who wish to be better equipped to spur themselves and others into action to combat the ecological crisis. If you know of anybody who might be interested, please don’t hesitate to share this week with them!
For those who wish to get involved as an “A Rocha Ambassador“, our Ambassador network is already up and running and we’d be thrilled to have you!
