Summer Course: “God, the Bible, and Creation Care”
5 June 2016 - 18 June 2016
A Rocha is partnering with Regent College (Vancouver) to offer this course.
“Amidst swirling debates about the environment, the overall sweep of the biblical narrative supports a rich understanding of humanity’s place in creation. Join us in worship, prayer, and study as we learn to root our role in creation in Jesus’s call to love and discipleship. In the process, engage with environmental history, explore the Mediterranean region, and examine some of the conservation and management challenges this area faces.”

– Rikk Watts (Professor of New Testament, Regent College)
– Jean-François Mouhot (Director, Les Courmettes, A Rocha France)

Activities
Students will be led on a geological and archaeological field trip around the site and to at least one Mediterranean beach to explore some of the particular conservation and management challenges of this remarkable region. Outside of daily class time, students are encouraged to take advantage of this unique area by visiting nearby museums, art galleries, and ancient villages, or by participating in guided nature walks, bird watching, and snorkeling. There will be no lectures during the weekend of June 11-12 so students may explore more of the French Alps and Cote D’Azur region, including Nice and Cannes, if they wish.
