{"id":1166,"date":"2015-09-30T13:17:01","date_gmt":"2015-09-30T12:17:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.courmettes.com\/en\/infos\/acces\/"},"modified":"2026-07-27T14:38:55","modified_gmt":"2026-07-27T13:38:55","slug":"access","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.courmettes.com\/en\/other-information\/access\/","title":{"rendered":"Access"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><mark style=\"background-color:#8ed1fc\" class=\"has-inline-color\">By train + bus<\/mark><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The closest train station to Les Courmettes is <strong>Cagnes-sur-Mer<\/strong> station. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Grasse train station<\/strong> is another option (avoid Sundays and public holidays, as there are no buses then to Les Courmettes).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\"><strong>From Cagnes-sur-Mer SNCF station<\/strong><\/mark>: bus 655 : towards \u2018Vence &#8211; Halte routi\u00e8re de l&#8217;ARA\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bus stop immediately outside the station<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Frequency: approximately every 40 minutes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can buy a bus ticket on board, provided you have change (approximately \u20ac2.50)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Get off at the terminus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Note<\/strong>: it is also possible to take <strong>bus 9<\/strong> from Cagnes station towards \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/u5BpxZPUBA7xjsky6\">Vence &#8211; Halte routi\u00e8re de l&#8217;ARA<\/a>\u2019, but it is more expensive and you need a smartphone or a prepaid card (see note below)<sup data-fn=\"e740c211-c9cc-45c9-a8af-fcf47f4f28e8\" class=\"fn\"><a href=\"#e740c211-c9cc-45c9-a8af-fcf47f4f28e8\" id=\"e740c211-c9cc-45c9-a8af-fcf47f4f28e8-link\">1<\/a><\/sup>. Please note that if you choose this option, make sure you board the bus marked \u2018Vence &#8211; Halte Routi\u00e8re\u2019 and not the one marked \u2018Shopping Promenade\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>For group stays &amp; residential weeks<\/strong>, we provide shuttles to Les Courmettes from Vence &#8211; Halte routi\u00e8re de l&#8217;Ara (\u20ac10\/trip) (information provided prior to your stay) .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Once in Vence<\/strong>, it is also possible (few connections) to take bus 651 towards \u2018Pont-du-Loup\/Grasse\u2019 . Departure from Vence: \u2018Foch Lyc\u00e9e Matisse\u2019 stop, 2 minutes from the Ara bus station. Get off at the \u2018Tourrettes village\u2019 or \u2018Courmettes\u2019 stop. For the more adventurous, it is possible to walk from either of these stops (see below), or we can pick you up at the \u2018Courmettes\u2019 stop. <strong>Please note that bus 651 does not run on Sundays or public holidays!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\"><strong>From the Grasse SNCF train station<\/strong><\/mark>, take bus 651 (direction Vence) to the \u2018Capucins Bas\u2019 stop (except on Sundays and bank holidays). To get there, turn left out of the station and walk along the station building. Get off at the \u2018Courmettes\u2019 stop, where you can be picked up (please let us know in advance), or go as far as Vence if you take a shuttle bus that we can organise. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Useful site<\/strong> for working out your routes using public transport in the Alpes Maritimes : <a href=\"https:\/\/zou.maregionsud.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Zou Ma r\u00e9gion Sud<\/a>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><mark style=\"background-color:#8ed1fc\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">Plane + bus<\/mark><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nice.aeroport.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Nice C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur <strong>Airport<\/strong> (NCE)<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Take the tram from Terminal 1 or 2 to the <strong>Grand Arenas<\/strong> stop (1 or 2 stops), then walk to the <strong>Bus station<\/strong> (&#8220;Gare routi\u00e8re&#8221;) which is situated in the immediate vicinity, and take <strong>bus no. 9 <\/strong>(towards &#8220;Vence Halte routi\u00e8re Ara&#8221;). The same ticket is valid for both the tram and the bus. There are ticket machines at the airport and at Grand Arenas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please note: some No. 9 buses do not go to Vence and terminate at \u2018Shopping Promenade\u2019. Please check carefully!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Two useful websites for calculating public transport routes in the Alpes-Maritimes, checking timetables and viewing fares:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/zou.maregionsud.fr\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/zou.maregionsud.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Zou Ma r\u00e9gion Sud<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lignesdazur.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lignes d&#8217;Azur<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Once in Vence<\/strong>, it is possible (few connections) to take bus 651 towards \u2018Pont-du-Loup\/Grasse\u2019. You can then walk up from either of these stops (see below)\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Shuttle<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During seminars and events organised by A Rocha, we usually provide a shuttle service between the Vence bus station and Les Courmettes (\u20ac10\/person\/journey).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><mark style=\"background-color:#8ed1fc\" class=\"has-inline-color\">In any case :<\/mark><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Please contact us and consider the following information before booking your flight or train tickets:<\/mark> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It takes between 30 minutes and 1 hour by bus from the station or airport to Vence, then 30 minutes by car from Vence to Les Courmettes. Please avoid arriving at the station or airport too late (if possible, not after 6 p.m.).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Similarly, when leaving Les Courmettes, <strong>please avoid early morning flights or trains<\/strong>. After 3 km, turn left at the \u00ab Courmettes&nbsp;\u00bb sign (this is on the right-hand side of the road).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>From Nice and Italy:<\/strong>&nbsp;take exit&nbsp;48 Cagnes-sur-Mer, towards Vence and then Tourrettes-sur-Loup. Go through Tourrettes-sur-Loup heading towards Grasse\/Pont-du-Loup. After 5 km turn right at the sign for \u00ab Courmettes \u00bb, which is a short distance after the bus stop marked \u00ab Saint Antoine \u00bb and road marker 26.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The \u00ab Route de Courmettes \u00bb is narrow and winding for 4 km. After the farm on your right continue for 300 metres when you will see the buildings on your left.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>You can then park in the free area near the buildings.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">GPS coordinates: Google Maps accurately locates \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/d3GHEEhd2Jys6Wff9\">A Rocha France Domaine des Courmettes<\/a>\u2019. Alternatively, you can enter the following address: 1 Route des Courmettes (or, for GPS devices that locate intersections, the intersection between Route des Courmettes and Route de Grasse).<br>Please note: some GPS devices will direct you via the Route du Caire (a road that climbs steeply from the centre of the village of Tourrettes-sur-Loup). If this happens, turn back, as the road between Le Caire and Les Courmettes is not suitable for vehicles (DFCI track) and is closed to traffic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><mark style=\"background-color:#8ed1fc\" class=\"has-inline-color\">On foot<\/mark><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For those brave enough you can walk up to Courmettes along the paved but quiet mountain road from the \u00ab Courmettes \u00bb bus stop (route de Grasse, Tourrettes-sur-Loup). Allow a good hour for the climb of 4.5 km and more than 500 metres of ascent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is also possible to walk up&nbsp;using various footpaths (superb views) from the centre of Tourrettes-sur-Loup.
